Overview

Rangeford Care is seeking to recruit Personal Assistants to be based at Wadswick Green, Westwells Road, Corsham, Wiltshire. (www.wadswickgreen.co.uk)

Wadswick Green is a ground breaking new village for people over 60. It offers luxury apartments and a wide range of social and leisure facilities providing an unrivalled lifestyle. Residents of the Village have use of the services provided in the Pavilion which include a beauty spa, gym, pool, restaurant. Residents may also purchase additional services such as domestic support and personal care.

The role

The role of a Personal Assistant is to work within the Village (and potentially the surrounding areas) in clients’ own homes. The main purpose of the role is to work on a one to one basis with clients and to promote their independence and chosen lifestyle by supporting them with -

  • Personal care – dressing, bathing, medication, personal hygiene, mobility
  • Domestic support – cooking, laundry, household chores
  • Social outings – medical and other appointments, trips to the shops or to a leisure activity
  • Emotional care – offering companionship and emotional support.

Immediate response to an emergency or unforeseen event

Requirements

Previous experience and qualifications in care are preferred but not essential. We are seeking individuals who have excellent interpersonal skills, are polite, compassionate, flexible and keen to do an excellent job and enable residents to receive the highest quality service.

In addition to undertaking the core functions of the Personal Assistant role we will expect successful candidates to be flexible and contribute to the wider running and success of the Village providing in return greater job interest and personal development.

We are looking to fill both full time and part hours and day and night shifts. Please specify the hours and shifts in which you would be interested.
